Job summary

Allied Universal in Lutz, FL is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Security Response to safeguard patients, visitors and staff. You will patrol, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible presence at a healthcare location.

This full-time role pays $17.50 per hour and requires security experience, ability to obtain hospital vaccines, and the capacity to work in a hospital morgue; driving positions are based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals, as needed.
• Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions, and support a welcoming environment for patients and guests.
• Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Hospital Security Response in Lutz, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control and incident response, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.
