Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.

• At least two years in healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check per laws; criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with healthcare personnel and responders.

As a Security Officer Hospital Morgue Security in Hopewell, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate healthcare personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
