Allied Universal in Rockport, TX is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Patient Support to protect patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security threats, and provide compassionate customer service.

The position requires one year of security experience, hospital vaccination compliance, and comfort in a hospital morgue. Shifts include evenings and weekends, with a base hourly rate of $16.45.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.

• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures while maintaining a professional, service‑oriented presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
