Allied Universal® in Rockport, TX is hiring a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Hospital Patrol Rounds to provide reliable coverage at a healthcare site. Fixed shifts with the ability to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, maximizing earnings and flexibility.

Shifts are Sat 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM and Sun 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM, with a pay rate of $16.45 per hour. Requires 1+ year of security experience, hospital vaccination readiness, and comfort in a hospital morgue environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements and pass a background check.
• Comfortable working in a hospital morgue and restraining individuals if needed.
• Able to use a computer or tablet as part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Patrol Rounds in Rockport, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
Sun 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and adherence to facility entry procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and relevant observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
