Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors per security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities and perimeter.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and verifying credentials as directed.
• Document incidents and communicate information to site leadership and responders.

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as directed, and providing directions or escorts for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to receive required vaccinations for hospital assignments.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Preferred: Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred: CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
