Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Decedent Services in Brevard, NC. You will provide security and customer service in a healthcare setting, with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick-up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

This role offers reliable hours, potential to scale to a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week, and access to paid training and benefits. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a security professional.
• Be willing to work in a hospital morgue.
• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Decedent Services in Brevard, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 07:00 PM - 01:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including situations involving patients, visitors, staff, and restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting security‑related concerns.
• Assist with controlling access to designated areas, verifying visitor credentials as directed by site policies, and maintaining awareness of healthcare facility protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• Have at least 6 months of experience as a Security Professional.
• Be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
