As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Care Security in Portsmouth, NH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 01:00 PM - 01:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and access concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital setting with a morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical‑related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
