Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a hospital immunization patrol in Bronx, NY. You will provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and the public while enforcing security procedures at a government healthcare location.

You will help deter incidents through a visible presence on site. The schedule includes Mon 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM and Sun 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM, with pay of $17.87–$18.87 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening as required by policy.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and the public while enforcing site security procedures at a government healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with facility personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and badge activity and report concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports per Allied Universal and site requirements.

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a government healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate facility personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Vaccinations are required for hospital positions.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
