Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Hospital Immunization Entry Patrol) in Bronx, NY for a part-time position. The role involves guarding patients, visitors, staff, and contractors, and supporting access control and incident reporting in a healthcare setting.

You will monitor entrances, respond to emergencies, perform patrols, and uphold site policies while delivering professional customer service. This role requires vaccination, HS diploma, and successful background checks.

Qualifications

• Vaccinations are required for hospital assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM

Minimum Requirements:

• Vaccinations are required for hospital assignments.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
