Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Decedent Services in Asheville, NC. You will protect patients, visitors, and staff across healthcare facilities, patrolling grounds and monitoring access to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Decedent Services in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service. Responsibilities may include responding to sensitive situations involving restricted areas, assisting with patient restraints, and using computer or tablet systems. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with appropriate healthcare personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, providing directions and assistance to support an orderly environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately and promptly according to site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
