Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen are standard conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a healthcare and life sciences location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and assist with visitor management while maintaining professional interactions with individuals at the location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, unusual activity, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
