Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Hospital Security Officer in Asheville, NC. You will monitor and safeguard patients, visitors, and staff, while providing exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting.

The role offers a part-time schedule with weekend night shifts (Sat 7:00 PM–Sun 7:00 AM) and opportunities for career growth within a values-driven security team. Vaccinations, background checks, and a medical screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of security experience.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and direction-giving while maintaining a courteous presence in a healthcare environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and relevant activities according to site-specific procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

You will respond to security-related incidents, support staff during patient restraints, assist with morgue access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.68 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and direction‑giving while maintaining a courteous presence in a healthcare environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and relevant activities according to site‑specific procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• Must have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
