Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by federal/state/local laws.
• A drug screen is required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by following site-specific policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and medical emergencies, reporting as required.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and directing visitors or patients as needed.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and communicate findings to leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access when required, and directing patients and visitors to appropriate areas.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
