Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Access Patrol in Philadelphia, PA. You will serve and safeguard clients across campus settings, monitor access points, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff and visitors.

This full-time role offers a pay rate of $21.25 per hour, a set evening schedule, and opportunities for professional growth within a caring culture that values integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Healthcare or medical-related field experience (2+ years).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community.
• Respond to incidents, campus emergencies, and critical situations per established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, residential areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions and incidents to contacts.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate with leadership and responders as needed.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residential areas, parking locations, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, policy concerns, and security-related incidents to the appropriate contacts.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site personnel, and local responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
