Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local regulations; a valid driver’s license if driving duties apply.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information as appropriate to the healthcare environment.
• Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as required by site policy.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during incidents as directed by site management.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
