Allied Universal in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Screening Patrol to safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors in a healthcare setting. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service while following site procedures.

The role requires being at least 18, ability to pass background and drug screening, high school diploma, and the option to leverage smart tools and shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Criminal histories considered with laws.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and compliance with facility access procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
