Job Description

Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Mayfield Heights, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach while assisting with security-related needs throughout the facility.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and adherence to facility access guidelines.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
