Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Hospital Screening in Memphis, TN. You will help screen patients, visitors, and staff, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in a hospital setting.

Excellent customer service and the ability to follow site procedures are essential. The role offers flexible scheduling, a pay rate of $17.91 per hour, and part-time hours (Friday and Saturday evenings).

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Screen patients, visitors, and vendors entering the facility per site procedures, verify identification, manage access, and communicate entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and escalate as needed.
• Maintain an orderly entry environment by directing individuals and answering general questions.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, waiting areas, and perimeter areas, reporting hazards.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.91 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Screen patients, visitors, and vendors entering the facility in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification, managing visitor access, and communicating entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Help maintain an orderly entry environment by directing individuals to appropriate hospital areas, answering general questions, and reporting suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, waiting areas, and surrounding perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting hazards or concerns.

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
