Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Capable of restraining individuals when necessary.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by performing security procedures and following emergency protocols.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Perform regular patrols of hospital facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and directions in patient care areas.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain daily activity records.

As a Security Officer Hospital Deescalation Response Full Time in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a healthcare security professional, supporting a dynamic hospital environment through routine patrols, visible presence, and compassionate service. You will help to deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff, and respond to situations involving restricted areas, including the morgue, and individuals requiring restraint. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.


• Assist with access control activities, visitor management, and direction-giving while maintaining a professional presence in patient care areas.


• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required records related to incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.


• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.


• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.


• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.


• Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
