As a Security Officer Full Time Care Protection in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a healthcare security professional supporting a dynamic hospital environment. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist with access control and visitor interactions, and support staff during sensitive situations, including morgue-related activities and patient restraint assistance. Deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations and reporting access concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Vaccinations required for hospital assignments must be received.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
