Job summary

Allied Universal in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Security Officer for Hospital Morgue Security. You will monitor and patrol hospital areas, provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, and respond to emergencies with professionalism.

The role is full-time and requires at least one year of security experience, the ability to work in a hospital environment near a morgue, and completion of background checks and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Able to restrain individuals as needed.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Criminal history considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report hazards and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor-management procedures per site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
