Job Description

Hospital Security Experience Minimum 2+ Years

Fully Vaccinated

High School Diploma or G.E.D

Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour

Location: Brea Area

As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high-profile healthcare customer. The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the client’s healthcare premises and the protection of staff, members, and visitors. A Hospital Security Professional detects and prevents suspicious activity, observes and reports incidents, and provides customer service in a friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazards, and unusual activity
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, blocked entryways, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized individuals
• De-escalate individuals verbally and physically as needed
• Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment
• Screen members, visitors, and employees to expedite their admittance to the facility
• Respond to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency
• May include patient escort, patient watch, providing safety escorts, and assisting/transferring deceased to morgue

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in customer service, troubleshooting, or managing stressful situations
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Must pass background investigation and drug screening
• State/local licensing requirements may apply
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions
• Post-offer, must complete training and obtain Management of Aggressive Behavior certification
