Job summary

Allied Universal in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Security Officer Highrise Receiving Dock for a part-time schedule. You will greet visitors, manage access at a front desk, monitor entry activity, and respond to security concerns at a retail/office setting.

The role offers a part-time schedule (2:00 PM–6:00 PM, Mon–Fri) with a pay rate of $20.10 per hour. Candidates should have at least 6 months of security experience, a high school diploma, and be prepared for background checks and drug

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and contractors at the front desk following site procedures.
• Greet visitors, manage access, and maintain professional front desk presence.
• Monitor access, verify authorization, and maintain visitor records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document activities as required.
• Monitor cameras and alarms from the front desk and report unusual activity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail property front desk.
• Greet visitors, provide directions and general information, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site-specific procedures, and maintain required visitor records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and communication systems from the front desk, report unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
