Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Guest Services in Bloomfield, CT. You will greet visitors, control access, and provide excellent customer service at a front desk location within a food and beverage manufacturing setting.

As a Front Desk Security Professional, you will monitor access, verify credentials, and maintain logs while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and front-desk policies at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access to the facility through the front desk, direct guests to appropriate contacts or designated areas, and report access concerns to site leadership.
• Answer and route incoming calls, receive deliveries and mail as assigned, and communicate professionally with personnel at all levels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
