Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Security Officer in Mississippi to patrol casino and hotel properties, escort funds, and respond to disturbances with professionalism. The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, guest service experience, and CPR/Bloodborne Pathogen training. English fluency and report-writing skills are essential, along with basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous guest service experience required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Driver’s License and operate company vehicles as needed.
• CPR Certification and Bloodborne Pathogen training will be required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all departmental and company policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Provides continuous patrol by foot and vehicle of the casino, hotel, and surrounding areas owned by the company as needed to address any suspicious activity or other concerns.
• Escorts and transports funds for table fills, slots, and/or banks; provides security for kiosk add fills and money drops.
• Responds to disturbances and alarms to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for guests and team members.
• Addresses medical situations on property and notifies emergency contacts as necessary.
• Operates Security Dispatch, including dispatching officers, maintaining key control, and logs in Dispatch Center.
• Provides superior guest experience through positive interactions; handles difficult customers.
• Assists leadership and prepares detailed reports on security-related incidents.
• Attends safety/first aid training programs as scheduled.
• Performs Fire Safety Officer duties and monitors surveillance equipment and alarms.
• Checks IDs of individuals under 21 years of age.
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism; strong computer skills.
