Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED not required but preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Clean criminal background with no felony convictions.
• All candidates must obtain and maintain a gaming license as applicable.
• All candidates must obtain and maintain state license.
• New Mexico State Security Guard Level 1 license required.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to observe situations analytically and objectively.
• Record information accurately and completely.
• Clear and concise oral and written communication.
• Remain calm under stress and exercise good judgment during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provides critical safety and security services by patrolling assigned areas.
• Secures key entry and exit points at designated posts.
• Responds to emergencies and provides first responder assistance.
• Uses multiple communications systems to coordinate emergency calls.
• Monitors alarm systems and reviews surveillance video for suspicious activity.
• Documents relevant activities and maintains daily logs.
• Determines appropriate unit deployment based on time and location.
• Performs other duties to support department operations.
