Job summary

Allied Universal Boise location seeks a Security Officer for visitor management on a night shift. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, log visitors, and provide customer service to employees, contractors and vendors at a technology construction site.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, patrolling areas, and enforcing site security policies while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• State/county/city security license is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications construction location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site requirements.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, deliveries, and vehicles, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, construction areas, offices, parking locations, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
