Allied Universal in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Route Driver. You will serve and safeguard clients across utilities and other industries, conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and support security operations while upholding integrity and teamwork.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, strong customer service, and comfort using a computer or tablet. Pay rate is $18.22 per hour with a full-time schedule as listed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as per state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, and critical infrastructure to detect unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and report concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document activities, and communicate observations to management.
• Prepare daily activity reports and incident documentation and relay maintenance concerns to site management.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Route Driver in FAIRFAX, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and support security-related operations with integrity, reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
