Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Driver License Compliance in Fairfax, VA. You will provide security, perform regular patrols, monitor access, and support incident response.

This role emphasizes customer service, adherence to policies, and professional presence. A valid driver’s license is required; CPR/First Aid is preferred, as is gate/badge experience.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR/First Aid experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports of activities, incidents, and unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Observe and report conditions that may affect utility operations, including unsecured gates, damaged fencing, suspicious activity, and environmental hazards.

Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM; Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
