Job summary

Allied Universal in Whitsett, NC is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) for a full-time patrol and visitor-assistance role. You will monitor and protect client sites, assist visitors, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents. Use computers/tablets to support daily operations and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, tech workspaces, parking areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and badge compliance per site procedures; escalate concerns as needed.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations and actions.
• Complete detailed activity and incident reports and handoffs professionally.

• Tue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, technology workspaces, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and badge compliance in accordance with site-specific procedures, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to established procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
