Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Technology in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $34.00 / Hour

Age Requirement:

• All candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application (C101). This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with legal and operational standards.

Act 235 Qualification (Pennsylvania Only):

• Candidates applying for positions in Pennsylvania must possess a valid Act 235 qualification (C134). This certification is essential for roles that require the carrying of firearms and other law enforcement duties.

Experience Requirement:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections (C140). This experience is critical to ensure that candidates are adequately prepared for the responsibilities of the position.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

• Armed Guard Card/License (B203) Candidates applying for security-related positions must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License. Proof of certification must be provided during the application process.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital communication tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219) Candidates should have a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and resolve issues efficiently. Relevant experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking offices, operational areas, parking facilities, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Maintain awareness of the financial institution environment and report security‑related concerns, hazards, policy violations, or suspicious activity to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess an armed guard card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
