Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security in San Bruno, CA. You will monitor retail locations, deter incidents, and provide a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff, while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include patrolling, responding to incidents, and reporting observations to site management. A high school diploma and background check are required, with drug screening and licensing where applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking lots, loading areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious, hazardous, or unauthorized conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
