Job summary

Allied Universal in Akron, OH is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Rounds to protect clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to concerns while delivering excellent customer service.

Minimum requirements include 18+ for unarmed roles, a high school diploma or equivalent, background and drug screening, and valid license where required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial work areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and observed hazards.

Job Schedule: Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
