Job summary

Allied Universal in Lima, OH is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Day shift to protect clients across manufacturing and industrial settings. You will perform unarmed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding safety and integrity.

The role pays $20.50 per hour with a daytime schedule (Fri 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM; Sat 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM; Sun 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM).

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter security-related incidents; respond calmly to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
