Job summary

Allied Universal in Portland, OR, is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time, unarmed patrol response on the graveyard shift. You will protect clients and uphold a secure environment, conducting patrols, monitoring access, and responding to security concerns.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and integrity. Required are a HS diploma, 18+ years of age, background check, and a drug screen; CPR is preferred and a driver’s license may be needed for driving positions.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and report details to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities per reporting procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers at an automotive manufacturing and/or distribution location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, parking lots, access points, shipping and receiving areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and maintaining required visitor and vehicle entry documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and promptly reporting details to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
