Allied Universal in Portland, OR is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Guard to provide courteous, professional service while safeguarding clients and assets. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, report incidents, and maintain a visible presence to deter wrongdoing.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of automotive facility buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and noteworthy observations through clear and accurate reports.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.88 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
