Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response in Columbus, OH. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide courteous service, and help deter security incidents for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

Minimums include 18 years old (21+ for armed roles) and a high school diploma. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law. The pay rate is $17.98 per hour with full-time day/night shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, shipment irregularities, and critical situations calmly and document observations for reporting.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles per site procedures.
• Maintain daily activity and incident reports and communicate information to site leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, package or shipment-related irregularities, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
