Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations) in New Brunswick, NJ. You will convey a welcoming presence, protect patients, staff and visitors, and uphold security procedures in a healthcare setting.

Daytime to evening shifts with a strong emphasis on customer service, teamwork, and professional communication. Applicants should meet basic requirements and be prepared for background checks and drug screening where allowed by law.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations in New Brunswick, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing through teamwork and integrity. Pay Rate: $21.17 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations and reporting access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
