Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations to protect government locations, provide courteous service, and monitor access points while following site policies.

You will conduct patrols, respond to incidents, document observations, and coordinate with site personnel, contributing to a culture of agility, reliability, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to established procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations and incidents to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.
