Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) on a full-time basis at the Etna, OH distribution location. You will patrol, monitor access, and deliver excellent customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors.

Responsibilities include regular unarmed patrols, responding to incidents with composure, and documenting observations for site leadership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• As part of employment, a background investigation will be conducted under applicable laws.
• Background checks and drug screens may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws; driver’s license for driving positions only.

• Provide exceptional customer service to drivers, employees, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, trailer lots, and perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and according to site procedures.
• Document patrols and incidents and share observations with Allied Universal management.

Pay Rate: $17.98 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, trailer lots, and the perimeter of the distribution location.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized activity or irregular conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
