Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer to perform unarmed patrol duties at a technology, media, and telecom location in Culver City, CA. You will provide excellent customer service, deter incidents, and report security concerns to site leadership.

The role requires basic computer skills, physical ability, and compliance with background checks and drug screening as required by law. Training and growth opportunities are available within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Criminal history considered case-by-case.
• Drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing as required by state/local regulations.
• Driver’s license for driving positions only.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Documentation in Culver City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and partners while reporting security-related concerns and supporting site operations. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
