Allied Universal in Culver City, CA is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) to patrol and protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sites. You will provide exceptional customer service, monitor access, and report observations while maintaining a professional presence and teamwork with site personnel.

Pay rate is $19.32 per hour with daytime schedules Wed 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Thu 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Fri 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Sat 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, including interior, exterior, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and deter unauthorized entry with a professional presence.
• Complete reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the technology, media, and telecommunications location, including interior spaces, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions or policy concerns, and help to deter unauthorized entry through a professional presence.


• Complete required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.


• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
