Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to patrol and respond to alarm panels at a financial institution in Lake Mary, FL. You will monitor entrances, maintain a visible presence, and provide courteous customer service to clients and staff.

The role requires at least one year of security experience. CPR/First Aid and access control skills are preferred, with a daytime schedule and a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted as part of employment.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified criminal histories in compliance with laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and document observations, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence while supporting a welcoming environment for customers and personnel at the location.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
