Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Escalation to protect healthcare-related locations. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, engage with employees and visitors, and report security activity with integrity.

This role offers a full-time schedule with evening and overnight shifts. A high school diploma or equivalent and a guard card are preferred, CPR is welcome, and customer service skills are valued.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check and drug screen may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a healthcare-related site by following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility and monitor access points and visitor activity.
• Verify credentials, report unusual conditions, and document incidents clearly to supervision.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and maintain communication with site personnel.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a healthcare-related manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, or maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, maintaining clear communication with Allied Universal supervision and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
