• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security activities and share information with leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a busy government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, public areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
