Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Pennsauken, NJ for full-time, unarmed patrol at a retail location. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and assist customers and staff with a visible, professional presence.

Qualifications include at least two years of security experience, CPR preferred, and HS diploma. A guard card/license and background check are standard parts of the process.

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Preparedness

In Pennsauken, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and assist customers, employees, and visitors with professionalism. You will communicate observations, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming environment through Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first approach, working with integrity and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $20.70 / Hour

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
