Job summary

Allied Universal in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Mobile Site Observation. You will patrol, monitor, and deter security incidents while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

This role requires the ability to operate between locations, maintain a visible presence, and communicate professionally. The position is full-time with a daytime to evening shift mix, offering benefits and opportunities for growth within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity and critical situations calmly and escalate concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail areas, entrances, parking and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting maintenance concerns and security issues to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols and incidents in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Mobile Site Observation in Falls Church, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a driving Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
