Job summary

Allied Universal in Durham, NC is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Mobile Driver to serve and safeguard clients across healthcare locations. This driving role requires a valid driver’s license and a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and compliance.

You will monitor access, patrol facilities, respond to incidents, and report observations to site leadership. The schedule runs Mon–Fri from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with pay at 16.74 per hour and opportunities for training,

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• CPR/First Aid experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, donors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to help maintain controlled access to the healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements. • Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
