Allied Universal, Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver Customer Service). You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access, and provide outstanding customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and contractors at a manufacturing and industrial site.

This role supports a driver-involved post and requires a valid driver’s license. The schedule includes daytime shifts; pay is $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• CPR certification and alarm panel experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitors, deliveries, and unusual activity per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
