Job summary

Allied Universal in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver Patrol to service a retail plaza. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide friendly customer service while safeguarding tenants, shoppers and staff.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, background check, drug screen, and compliant age/education prerequisites. Shifts include Daytime and weekend coverage with a $14.00 per hour pay rate.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a retail plaza location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking lots, storefronts, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor activity throughout the property, report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations, and document observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
